Meatless Monday: Blueberry Protein Ice Cream

When I first started focusing on my protein goals, I quickly realized something:

There are only so many protein shakes you can drink before things start getting… repetitive.

I wanted foods that still supported my goals—but actually felt exciting to eat. Something cold, creamy, satisfying, and fun enough that I’d genuinely look forward to it after a workout or at the end of the day.

That’s exactly why this Blueberry Protein Ice Cream became one of my favorite recipes.

The first time I made it, I honestly didn’t expect much. Cottage cheese in ice cream sounded questionable at best. But once everything blended together with banana and vanilla whey? Completely different story.

The texture becomes surprisingly creamy. The banana naturally sweetens everything while helping create that soft, scoopable consistency. Then the dried blueberries add little chewy bursts of flavor throughout, while fresh berries on top brighten everything up.

And the best part? It actually helps support your protein intake without feeling like “health food.”

That’s the kind of recipe I’m always searching for now:

  • easy to make,

  • fun to eat,

  • and supportive of my goals without feeling restrictive.

Because honestly, nutrition gets a lot easier when your meals and snacks are things you’re genuinely excited about.

And this one?
This feels like dessert first and a protein recipe second.
